One Quick Habit That Keeps Your Mylio Library Manageable

by Angela Andrieux

Stay in control of your photo collection—without getting overwhelmed.

If your photo library is growing faster than you can manage, you’re not alone. Whether it’s family photos, travel memories, or snapshots from your phone, it’s easy for things to get out of hand. That’s why Mylio Photos includes helpful tools to stay on track, without starting from scratch.

One of the most effective is the “Need to Organize” QuickCollection. It’s a smart, automatic view that shows you which recent photos still need attention, so you can organize photos in Mylio Photos a little at a time.

Why It Helps

This QuickCollection shows all the photos from the last 90 days that haven’t been rated or flagged. These are your unreviewed images, perfect for a short weekly organizing session.

Instead of sifting through your entire library, you can focus on just the newest additions. Over time, this helps you build a well-maintained collection that’s easier to search, enjoy, and share.

How to Use “Need to Organize”

  1. Click the funnel icon in the left sidebar to open QuickFilters
  2. Click the QuickCollection icon (stacked squares with a lightning bolt)
  3. Select “Need to Organize”

From there, launch QuickReview mode to quickly flag, rate, or reject photos without distractions.

Keep the Momentum Going

Once you’ve sorted your latest photos, switch to the “Review for Cleanup” QuickCollection. It shows everything you’ve marked with a reject flag or a 1–2 star rating, images that may be ready for deletion. To remove them permanently, go to Organize > Delete Rejected Photo(s) in the top menu bar.

PRO TIP: Spend 10–15 minutes each week using “Need to Organize” to stay in control. This small, consistent habit is one of the easiest ways to organize photos in Mylio Photos without it feeling like a chore.

Why It’s Worth It

  • ✔️ Keeps your photo library clean and current
  • ✔️ Helps you find meaningful moments faster
  • ✔️ Reduces digital clutter before it becomes overwhelming
  • ✔️ Makes it easier to preserve and share memories with family
